This bison is striking in bright primary colors and accented with silver plated beads. Two large peyote completely cover both sides and two blue deer heads lie on the back legs. Lines of silver beads run down the top of the head. The underside is beaded with more peyote symbols and only the bottom of its feet are bare. Even the wooden carving is amazing!
It is 5 3/4″ in length and 2″ wide and 3 1/2″ tall.
Seen in real life this bison comes to life and is imbued with the Huichol connection to the spirit world. The peyote symbolizes life, sustenance, health, success, good luck, and shamanic powers. The deer, or Kayumahli, is the guide, teacher and channel of knowledge for the Shaman.
