Description

The workmanship and artistry are exceptional in this bracelet made with extremely tiny size 15 ‘micro’ beads.  The color combinations are unique and beautiful.  The intricate design is done in silver and black.  The body of the bracelet is 6.5″ (see sizing chart below).  It is 1.5″ wide and is fastened with 4 balls and loops.

You won’t be disappointed in this work of art!  The wearer will get immense pleasure from seeing the pattern against the skin and its silky feel.  Our bracelets are extremely durable.  Breakage is not a problem due to the exquisite work and tough stringing material used.  The loops and balls fit perfectly.  It is meticulously made using needles, not looms.

HOW TO FASTEN – 2 WAYS

Click on the pictures to magnify and scroll through them.

1st Way (1st picture):  Simply Put Ball Thru Loop.

2nd Way  (2nd and 3rd pictures):  Put Ball Thru Triangle Next to Bracelet Body (see triangle in leftmost picture).  Flip Loop Over Ball.  This results in a double fastening.

Note:  2nd way of fastening makes the bracelet shorter by 1/4 inch, giving some size flexibility.  Loops always fit the balls securely.

SIZING:

Measure wrist above the ‘bump’ with a cloth measuring tape or a string, then measure the length against a ruler.

Folks tend to wear these bracelets closer to the wrist, but if a roomier fit is desired another bracelet the next size up may be selected.

Viewing the Art & How it is Made

The tiny chaquira, or seed beads, are applied by coating the surface of a carving or bowl with a beeswax mixture called campeche. The beads are then applied one by one using a needle. The vision of the artist comes to life as the beads are applied.

The beading is perfect with every bead in place. This can easily be seen by hovering over each image where it will expand, showing the incredible detail of this art.

The images may also be clicked to bring up a slideshow of enlarged images. Because smaller size 15 beads are used – called ‘microbeads’ – instead of the larger size 11, greater skill and artistry is required. The quality of the beading is unsurpassed!

Take care not to place this art in hot direct sunlight or near a hot lamp. This may soften the beeswax. Otherwise, with gently handling, this art will stay in perfect shape.
