Peruvian Gourd Ornament – Butterfly in Natural Colors

Description

This gourd ornament is painstakingly colored using a small flame to ‘discolor’ different areas, etched and detailed with white paint to create a wonderful design.  This is a traditional technique that Peruvian artists have used for a very long time.   The end result is an ornament that comes to life wherever it is hung.  It is approximately 3″ tall and 3 1/4″ in diameter.  The colors are natural tan.
